The following notes apply to the SAM-FS System Administrator's
Reference Manual, LSC, Inc., publication number LC00024P, Revision 8/95:
On page 22, in the Create the Mount Point section, the example
/etc/vfstab entry is wrong. It's missing a dash (-) as the last
field on the line. The correct entry is:
samfs1 - /sam samfs - delay -
On pages 24 and 25, sections Configure Logging and
Configure the Archiver should be moved to page 22, just after the
Set up SAM-FS Default Values section.
On page 25, in the section Establish periodic samfsdumps, the
example crontab entry is wrong. It's missing a command which removes
the csd.old file prior to mv-ing the csd.dump to
csd.old. Also, the samfsdump binary is referenced from the wrong
directory. The correct crontab entry is:
